Introduction

There are only two sources of “Social Dollars” - Government funding by mandated taxation, and charitable funding by voluntary donations. Both channels lack the same control. Consumers cannot tell the government what to do with their taxes and charities increasingly believe that donated funds are theirs to do with as they please. To make this issue even more complex, there are over 2 million non-profits in America and most consumers cannot name 10 charitable organizations.
