Voting Rights

Introduction

Voting Rights are a Life Issue for women, because it is only through our actually showing up at the polls that the government will take us seriously.

This does not mean that because American women share Life Issues that we will automatically agree on what should be done to advance these issues. But it does mean that if we are informed, if we have debated among ourselves online, and if we have given our time and support to those who lobby, run, and legislate for us, action will be taken.

So we need to guarantee that women of all ages, incomes, and ethnic groups are taught how to register and how to use the new machines. Voting rights are our road to making a greater difference for the Life Issues we already are responsible for. And we can bring more and more women into WomenMatter, so that we understand each other's lives.

When we actively support candidates in the primaries, we will know that women have empowered themselves in the political process. We can take all the needed steps right here from WomenMatter.

I Vote.

Here is a posting from our tell your story page that will surely inspire potential voters to go to the polls!
